After Purchasing Tempo Facility Services in 2007 ISS was faced with the dilemma of merging two Quality Management Systems. One of which was designed for 2000 employees, the other for over 20,000. As an added challenge, the original Environmental Management System had to be completely re-written to integrate with the New Quality Management System.
Adrian was given six months to complete the task and have the new systems ready for certification audit. Within this period Quality procedures were re-written and integrated with the Environmental and Safety Management Systems, A full Environmental and Safety Risk Assessment was completed on all tasks and Internal audits were conducted at more than 20 branches Australia wide.
Due to the restricted completion time Adrian decided that an intranet system should be created to dramatically shorten the roll out process. He developed a web based system that allowed all staff to access the new procedures, forms, training materials and necessary records from any office in Australia. Ease of electronic access to the intranet shortened roll out time, removed any document control issues and cut down on unnecessary paper consumption.
In October 2007 SAI global carried out an external audit on ISS facility Services. Adrian’s systems were extensively audited for 20 days at 8 branches around the country. The exhausting process was a great success with only one non-conformance recorded.
This achievement was recognized by a nomination for employee of the year by senior management, the recipient to be chosen out of only 6 employees from a total of 22,000.
